Hyundai Grand i10 Nios overview
Latest Update: Hyundai has launched the Grand i10 Nios at a starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh. The Korean carmaker has also revealed the i10 N Line at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, which could serve as a blueprint for Grand i10 Nios based hot-hatch. Details here.
Engines: It continues to offer the same set of 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines as the second-gen Grand i10. What’s more, you even get an AMT (automated manual transmission) option for both petrol and diesel. Only the petrol engine is updated to meet BS6 norms as of now.
Variants: The Grand i10 Nios is available in five variants - Era, Magna, Sportz, Sportz Dual Tone and Asta. The diesel engine, however, misses out on the entry-spec Era variant or the Sportz Dual Tone variant. The top-spec Asta variant is neither offered with a petrol-AMT nor a diesel-AMT.
Exterior: The exterior of the Grand i10 Nios is notably identifiable by the latest version of the cascading grille design and the boomerang-styled LED DRLs. The rear end of the car is reworked as it gets a new set of tail lamps and a new rear bumper too. It even flaunts Venue-like lettering under the Hyundai badge on the boot. It comes in six monotone colour options and two dual-tone options depending upon the variant.
Interior: The car features an all-new dashboard layout which includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit which is integrated into the housing of the instrument cluster. The South Korean carmaker has now positioned the central air vents below the infotainment unit and into a rectangular design and has also redesigned the corner vents.
Rivals: It goes up against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Ignis, Ford Figo and Nissan Micra.
